My interview with Dan at the CDC was educational as
always. As we began the interview he
gave me a few suggestions for my resume and we began discussing the
interviewing process in general. We
discussed what are good and bad interviewing habits (things like saying Ummmm,
or talking BIG with your hands) and we also went over some of the illegal
interview questions. What they are
allowed to ask and not. We also talked
about what to do if they ask those questions anyway. He suggested going with your gut feeling and
respond with what I feel is the best thing for the situation. All in all, it was a good experience. I had interviewed with Dan previously for another
class and this discussion seemed to extend farther than we had before. It was good to hear, and if/when I interview
again, hopefully I’ll be better.
